My mom is getting a new puppy some time next month. He needs a name. Mom wants to call him Tucker. I dont like it. Dad doesnt like the name either.

What would you name a male english cream golden retreiver?

sometimes it helps to wait till you see the personality of the pup. Some of our male dogs have been named, Cody, Bob, Tag, Wilson, Teddy, Critter, Murphy, Lucas, Skipper, Max, Zeppy, Charlie, Royce, there are more but that's a start. And no we are not hoarders. These dogs were all loved and most died of old age.

pup name

Tend to agree about waiting to name after getting pup, sometimes wanted name doesn't fit. We adopted kitten, came with name Peridot, immediately changed to MAX (often Mad Max). Peridot just didn't fit his personality.
Otherwise , considering the personality of other golden retrievers I've met, you might consider Happy as a name.

Tomorrow afternoon, mom is dropping off the deposit for the pup. so hopefully the weather will be nice and we can see the pup play outside and then think of a name for him.

It has to be a two syllable name.

On our first visit..the pup was sleeping. So couldn't tell anything from that. So hopefully the pup will be wide awake and playful tomorrow.

There used to be a car that was called Tucker? That was the brand name? Like Ford? hmmm....

The visit went well. We stayed inside because it was rainy. So we got to see the puppy play in the living room. hes really cute. He was playing with the toys and tugging at the towels. haha.

Hes coming home april 4th. I just hope our 2 dogs like this pup. I hope my cats are okay with him too.

Tucker is doing great. he is 5 months old now.

He had a reunion with his brothers & sisters today. It was pretty cool to see 8 english cream golden retrievers all at once.

Thanks.

My mom is going to train him to be a service dog for herself. So hopefully he will be good at that and help mom out when she needs him.
