American Warmblood Registry

I've been curious for some time about the American Warmblood registry. Does anyone know the rules for it? What breeds can be registered as an American Warmblood? What kind of breeds are not allowed in the heritage (like Percheron, Fresian, etc.)? Do the parents both have to be registered Warmbloods? Thoroughbreds? registered anythings?

I'm just curious. I have a Fresian/QH cross mare and a Registered Spotted Draft (Perch/Paint) mare. I was wondering if down the road I bred them to registered studs could their offspring ever be registered American Warmbloods?

Fire away, as I know nothing of the Warmblood registry. Thanks in advance!

I believe they can not be registered AWR.. but they can be American Warmblood Society. AWS does do draft crosses so they could get in. You would only get temporary papers, and have to go through inspection to get permanent registry.

GOOD LUCK!

I know for sure that your friesian cross can be registered with them. I was told that I was able to register mine with them, but opted not to.

I'm pretty sure your other horse will also be eligible.
