Thank You, I think they are beautiful too, of course I may be partial. Mal is my favorite, he is such a character. He is so smart and therefore causes so much mischief. He has learned how to open the gate, and one day the neighbors called and said all my horses were down the end of the road. We have to double chain it now. He also listens to the fence and knows exactly when we have turned it off to do something. He gets bored and I am always trying to find things for him to do. He has some childrens balls that he rolls around in the pasture. I made him a big rattle out of a plastic milk jug with some small rocks in that he shakes constantly. The others don't play with toys, he had a lot of fun with a hula hoop too. My husband added on to the horse stalls this fall and Mal kept stealing his hammer. He does charge at my son whenever he comes in the pasture with me though. I don't know why he does that. My son is scared to death of Mal. I think it is because Mal thinks I belong to him and when my boy comes in with me he stays very close to me. Does that sound possible? He has never been mistreated by adults or children. Or could it be that he knows my son is scared of the horses? The picture of him is the day we got him. He has filled out alot since then. Mal tries to dominate me too, he takes his big head and bops me with it on the top of my head. Almost knocked me out one day. When he charges my son, I jump in front of him, hollar STOP and wave my arms. He has always stopped. But I can't help but wonder what he would do if I wasn't there. He has no problem with my son on the other side of the gate. Logan can pet him, can feed him treats, no problem. Why is he not allowed in the pasture? Any advice or comments would be appreciated.

First off, Welcome from Florida!

Your boy sounds like my filly.
She's being trained using Parelli methods right now, and loves to steal the stick or the rope the second you look away..
They're such goof balls
