Talking Howdy from KS!

Howdy from Kansas!
It's raining so it's a bit on the dull side at work today so I thought I would introduce myself to the HT community!
I have thouroghly enjoyed reading the threads on this site and I like how everybody is encouraging to each other, rather than always trying to one up someone. And I love how everyone gets to share their horse lives with other horsey people. That's what I'm looking forward to the most!
I grew up showing Appaloosa horses. I have QH's and apps, but am now concentrating on barrel racing and cow horses, and trying to learn to rope.
I have 4 horses in my posse right now, but that changes from time to time. But I always seem to have some nice grey Jackie B bred mares--I prefer mares. I think they have more heart and try. And I also care for my boyfriends two old horses, since he is out on the road a lot. I also have a breeding pair of Australian Shepherds that I love dearly! I only raise one litter a year, but boy is it fun!
I'll be sure to introduce you to all my four legged friends in the "meet the...." threads soon!

Welcome from just down the road .

I love aussies, apps, and when I was younger I knew Jackie Bee in person. Have Badger and Goldfingers blood in my pens right now and my very best horse I ever owned was bought from the Walkers production sale. A wonderful big bay Bobcat mare I own until she passed last year.

I live a 1/2 mile from where Jackie B is buried. And I am good friends with the girl that is married to Duane's grandson. I go there to ride all the time! Just talked to Heather and she told me who you are! I'm Kim & Bruce Albright's middle daughter. HI! Long time since I've seen you! Glad to know you still have Appys!

Thank you for the encouragement. I started to learn about 10 years ago and was a total natural. Then my horse was stolen so I didn't keep it up. Now I am totally uncoordinated, but every once in a while I catch!

I'm not much bigger now than I was. I maxed out at just over 5 feet tall; though I'm a pretty stout (thanks mom!) 125#s! I guess that's what happens when you throw feed bags and haybales, then wrestle colts all the time.
