Newbie here : )

Hello, everyone. How's it going?

I've always looked through the classifieds but only recently discovered that there's a forum here so I thought I'd join. You guys seem like a pretty nice bunch of people.

A little about me now, I suppose.
I'm into Morgan horses and mainly ride/train hunter and western pleasure with them. I also ride saddleseat and harness, but my co-worker is the one who trains it. Dressage is another passion of mine, but it's not too hot in the Morgan world so I don't compete in it, only practice it. But really, one of my absolute favorites is going out on the trail.

My username is after my favorite mare, who was indeed a liver chestnut.

Welcome from TN.. What type of Morgans.. the old foundation builds, or the newer modern ones.. I have family in VT, and UVM has an awesome Morgan horse program that I have enjoyed following for many many years..

Hi and welcome from another Morgan lover/owner. You can't beat the Morgan. I like all breeds and have had a number of different ones, but I do love my Morgan.

Thank you for such a great welcome!

Gbarmranch - I actually adore both old style and new style. Actually I suppose somewhere in the middle is ideal for me. A cobby-type horse that's useful, yet still has some flash and grace to it. I like my Morgans to look like a Morgan, not a Saddlebred. However, I do embrace trotting trend (level trotters, a lot of knee action) as they're quite exciting to watch.

One thing I just adore about the Morgan is I can take just about any horse in the barn to a show whether it be saddleseat, hunter, or western AND still be able to trust it on the trail.
