hello. it has been a while.

Hello All HTer's:

It has been a long time since I have signed on here. Lot of things going on right now.

Anyway, can you all tell me where I might get advice about doing a partial lease on my horse. I am unable to get out and see or ride him as much as I would like. He is considered green broke, not having a lot of miles on him yet. I would like to have someone put more miles on him. I thought about a free lease, then I thought what if something happens to him during a ride, the money would help cover expenses for the vet or anything else. Does this seem reasonable? I have never leased a horse before. Maybe you all could tell me where to post something like that and how I should word it. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome back.

Post under General Horse Advice.

I would be concerned with the person you lease him to getting hurt as well as him getting hurt.

JMO when a person leases, they assume all vet costs but again depends on what your arraingment is.

Welcome back!

I know when I free leased Iggy, B assumed all care of him. That included vet bills, supplements, farrier, hay, worming, and vac's. He was only gone for just over a year so we didn't have to renue the lease.

PM me if you would like a copy of my lease contract.
