Hello from Colorado-

I just love this forum! I dont have a horse of my own yet, But I have been riding off and on, since I was 6, (almost 30 now) . I have leased quite a few horses over the years, but cant wait for the day I can have my very own. Hopefully one of these years, when my daughter and I have PONY listed on our christmas wish list- Daddy might actually oblige us !! Anyways I just love this forum. I love reading all this great knowledge that will someday help me with my new horse/pony! Adding some pics of one of my favorite leases-
Maddy- appendix she was 23 at the time -ex dressage/hunter jumper- She was a dream to ride in the round pen, but lordy was she ever barn sour! Got my first concussion from her-dumped me when she didnt want to move away from the gate- I miss her!

Howdy and a big Welcome from TEXAS. Hope to see a post soon saying you have your own horse soon. I just went and looked at one with a friend that was only $300.00 and another friend of mine just adopted a great TWH for $250.00. Some are really cheap now and need a good home badly.

Thanks everyone! Right now Hubby and I are saving for a house in the country - I hate the suburban life- (really I do) .. But I for now I just read all the good info I can get - I am still really just an advanced beginner , so I've still got a lot to learn and this site is fabulous for that !!

Oh and someday we may move to Texas- all his family is from Sudan ( up by lubbock)- We are looking at Dallas/FT W. area, as he could transfer for work- so who knows ! I do know that horses are a lot cheaper in Texas then they are in colorado right now- Especially in my area- My area is mostly Hunter/Jumpers- I hurt my back so I cant jump anymore, but I really just want to trail ride Same w/ hubby-
