Hi from Texas!!!!

I've just joined and I'm trying to figure it all out. I'm not very computer literate but have been following this forum since January and feel like I
know all of you. It's good to see so many from Texas and would like to hear from ya'll. I own Tennessee Walkers and they are like my kids.

Will post pictures when I get it figured out. I live in Abilene and have 4 of my horses here. Rain is a 10 y/o TWH, Keesha is a 12 y/o TWH, Lakoda is a 18 y/o TWH, they are all black, Skippy is a 7 mon. old palamino paint with 2 blue eyes. We have a ranch at Sweetwater with 3 TWH, a Morgan cross and one Rocky Mountain. My grandaughter has her QH there and also have 2 donkeys and a minature goat. We don't have any cows at this time, we have recently pushed and reseeded the ranch now working on new fence. I do have a walker and the Rocky Mountain for sale but don't really want to place an ad because a great home is a must as they are great horses.

Welcome from Arkansas, but what's a Texas girl doing with Tennessee Walkers - aren't they afraid of cows?

When my husband bought our ranch for hunting in 2001, I decided I needed a horse, now it had been 30 yrs since I had been on a horse I bought several that didn't work out well really I did't know what I was doing and thats an understatement!!! IN 2002 I wanted a black horse for Christmas, called a trader I knew and put in my order, they didn't have one. They called back about 10 minutes later and had one. I hooked on to my trailer something I had never done by myself and off I went to get my beautiful black horse, he was not beautiful really he was so ugly but black. He was real thin, hair 2 inches long and had long feathers. There were big cuts on his back that were scabbed over. But he was a horse and he was black!!! The trader told me he was a QH just needed food. I was brushing him when I got him home and scabs on his back came off and the cuts were infected, so I could't ride him tilln they were healed. I saddled him up got on and my husband said he is doing something really weird when he walks, he was so smooth I loved it, guess what he was TWH and I was had. I have a rupured disc in my back and he was just what the doctor ordered. I have lots of stories about him, he was the love of my life. I lost him a little over a year ago. RIP KID ROCK

Welcome from North Texas! We have a hunting ranch out your way - really closer to Cisco, so we're sorta kinda neighbors - sorta...
