Hello from Virginia

Hi everyone!

My name is Carrie and I've got a little farm in Northern VA where I breed racehorses. Currently I've got two TB mares (both in foal) and a morgan cross gelding. We also have 14 chickens, 7 cats, 2 dogs, and 5 fish; it's kind of a zoo!

I'm really excited about joining this board as it seems everyone here is very knowledgable and nice. I was on a previous board for years and had to leave because of all the petty nonsense that went on there (it was mostly a younger crowd) so I'm really excited about beginning this board, and meeting all of you!

I'll share a few pictures now.

Snickers- 14 year old 15hh morgan cross gelding.

Melind- 10 year old 17hh TB mare (in foal with her second baby)

Lucy- 7 year old 16hh TB mare (in foal with her first baby)

This girl isn't mine, but she's boarded at my farm (she's my friend's horse) and will probably pop up in many of my pictures.

Maggie- 2 year old 16hh (and still growing!) TB/Belgian cross filly

There will be many more pictures later, but I figured that's a good start. I can't wait to hear from everyone!

Welcome to you too! Gorgeous horses I think Melind needs to retire from the racehorse breeding field and hightail it over to a nice warmblood stallion...Look at that shoulder!

Where in VA are you? I have an aunt in Spotsylvania/Fredericksberg and have been meaning to go back and visit her again. She has a pasture full of geldings though! The guy I'm sort of seeing recently moved out here from NW Virginia as well

Thanks for all the greetings. Everyone's been so nice!

I'm from Northern VA, quite close to the WV panhandle. I'm about 50 miles West of DC. The town is called Berryville, if anyone's every heard of it.

And hey, gailfinney, I actually used to go to college in Staunton, so I lived there for a bit.
