Hola from WISCONSIN!

Hey all! I've been lurking these boards for quite some time and finally decided to get out there and post!

I'm a 20y/o cosmetology student currently living in Waukesha, WI (splitting time between there are Milwaukee, that is)

Long story short, I have been riding for 15 years, but have never owned a horse of my own. This forced me to get my "fix" through reading and learning as much as possible about horses, and I still love to do that. Hence, why I am here!

These days, the only time I get to ride is up at the camp that I taught riding at, but this summer is looking bleak, as you get no "breaks" in hair school

It seems like there are a lot of people from the area on the forum, so that's exciting! And, of course, I'm looking forward to talking to and learning from everyone (from all over)!

Seems like everyone else has pictures of them and their horses, so I'm going to go ahead and post a few of when I visited North Arabians in CA, just so I can get on the pic train. heh heh

Nat'l Ch. Filly (Canadian and US) I forgot her name, though. Whoops.

Same.

Looking blurry, cuddling an expensive behbeh

That's all I have for now... hope you enjoy

Welcome to HT from another Cheesehead (now living in MN). This is a great place to get your "horse fix"--you will be ready when you get your own (and trust me, you will!)

Iwasbornahorse, thaks so much for sharing your pictures. They are gorgeous. Do you compete with them at all? I've always been an arabian nut. You can find me blowing $25 or more each year on back issues of AHT at the IAHA booth at the Midwest Horse Fair

And I definitely believe you about boards being brutal. I'm just getting antsy to finish school, as I feel like it's mostly about collecting hours, rather than learning. (RANT. Will be saved for another time.)

And Corporate Cowgirl... I've been ready for years haha. My future horse is going to die of attention and being over-loved.

Oh yeah... there are plenty of car dealerships up here. Everyone in the suburbs needs a new car (or three), right?!

Your mare, Scarlet, looks almost exactly like the horse I first started riding on, 'Miss Kitty.' Memories!

I also wasn't aware of where Windrose Arabians moved (Can you tell I'm a first-class website lurker?) since I saw that the signs were gone when I'd pass on my way to Chicago this summer.

I used to compete with the white one. He's "retired" now The bay is new to me, so we'll see what happens there.
