Howdy!

I'm Cat! Like everybody else on here I love horseys! I'm a native NCer. I never lived anywhere else, but I have visited England several times cuz my Mama's from there.

I teach riding lessons, am a barefoot trimmer, and train horseys. I also own/operate a small tack business where I make rope halters, leads, trail reins, and barrel reins and of course sell other tack.

I also have a full-time job as a Maintenance Mechanic at a state park. I enjoy working outside and being in the woodys. My main jobs are grounds & custodial maintenance and trail maintenance. It's real fun. One day I maybe on the chainsaw cutting dead trees, the next cleaning restrooms, the next fixin' a mower. There's always something to do.

I'm also an assistant leader of a 4-H group. I remember wanting to join as a kid, but thought you had to have a horsey. Then when I finally got my horsey I was too busy! LOL I urge parents to get their kids into 4-H. It's a great organization. It helps us to teach our kids morals, ethics, leadership, and responsibility.

I really enjoy working with horseys and learning 'bout 'em and sharing the little bit of knowledge they've given me. I use classical techniques as well as natural horsemanship type techniques when training and teaching.

I'm looking forward to learning even more from the folks on this board.

So, a great big HOWDY to y'all!
