Is it normal...?

Is it normal to suddenly go from being an apartment living, city (read: coffee-shop-museum-shopping-restaurant-convenience) loving girl who dreams of someday living (temporarily) in NYC to enjoy the culture and big-city hustle and bustle to, one day after a quiet group trail ride while camping, transforming into a horse-crazy girl who wants nothing more than to be around horses, announcing to your bewildered fiancee and friends that you're going to have a horse someday, enlisting in lessons and suddenly making up for small living quaters by reading everything you possibly can about horses... meanwhile searching horse-friendly real estate and fancying about your dream horse?

Just wondering.

Hi from Ohio, and just wanted to say I've learned so much from reading here and hopefully I keep learning. Thanks already for all the good advice.

Welcome Amy!

Yes it is normal!
Horses are addicting and I gave up easy, modern living to live in the country.
I would never go back to living in the burbs.

Realized that there is a good life out there after all! Sun, fresh air and enjoying the views of the world atop a Mighty Steed, doesn't get any better than that!!!!!!!!

Your story is almost exactly how I made my way from Milwaukee, WI to a town of 300 in KY.

Welcome!

Very normal, but make sure your fiancee knows of your new addiction and understands how it will consume your life (for the best!) I'm speaking from the experience of an ex husband who was very jealous of my four legged children.
