Welcome to the Horsey world.....
A great place to Trail ride is Halfmoon Wildlife Preserve its off of Route 44 only 5 miles from I75 west of Wildwood toward Inverness..........its 9,800 acres of unspoiled Florida land. Woods, berry patches, flat lowlands.......beautiful!
Google the website for the days its open ( some times there is hunting season). There are many other places that aren't too far. And there is even 1 up north of Jacksonville where you can ride on the beach ! Welcome again! http://www.florida-agriculture.com/p..._Directory.pdf

Thanks for the welcome!! That place sounds like a lot of fun. Eventually I would love to go camping with my guy... I love the outdoors. I'm hoping to meet lots of other horse folks I can do stuff with. See, my husband's not so much a horse guy, he thinks it's kind of boring.... although he loves chasing a small white ball around coarse and hitting it with a club for 4 hours (go figure). Anyway, I'm near a town called Christmas just east of Orlando. Not sure if there's anywhere out this way that's as large but I've heard of a couple of nice small places to try out.
Thanks again!! |

welcome!
Hi! Welcome from another central FL horse person. I am not too far from Christmas. We often ride at the Little Big Econ on Snowhill Road. Also down in Christmas is another park, I can't think of the name right now. There is one on hwy 50 and another off of Ft. Christmas Road that is part of an Orange County land preserve. Hope you enjoy your new horse. Nice looking for sure!

Welcome from a fellow central floridian. Remember what they say about paints. On the eighth day god created the quarter horse and on the ninth day he painted the good ones. Don't forget to check out the paint horse club here in florida, Dixie Paint Horse Club. I think their website is www.dixiephc.com
