Hello from northeast Missouri

Just wanted to introduce myself to you all! I live in NE Missouri in rural community. I'm 48 and single with 2 dogs (terrier mixes) and 2 cats and my 6 year old APHA gelding Sampson. No need to go into long stories here but I've had Sampson since February and have done next to nothing with him...but love himhe came into my life when I gave my Arab gelding to a good friend who could give him a 'job' suited to his busy personality. My confidence in riding has really gone down since gaining weight and dealing with managing my diagnosed depression issues. I have ridden all my life and can't believe I am at this point of being 'afraid' to get up on him and go!! He's very gentle but wasn't steadily ridden in the last year before I bought him...maybe I should send him to someone who can ride him for me for about 30 days and get him ready...
Anyway, am thrilled to be here and LOVE reading all your posts! God Bless

Hi and welcome to the family! You're gonna love it here!

Let me take a minute to tell you a little about the Calendar that we are putting together. It will be for 2008. We're accepting pictures untill November so you'll have plenty of time to pick out some that you have or even take some more! You can find ALL of the details and where to send your pictures if you're interested here. If you have a question please feel free to PM myself, Applejack, Lady_MCSE, Kelly4NC, or forum administrator Annie.

Again, welcome! I hope you share pics of your critters soon!

Hi, welcome from Kansas!

You remind me of me! I'm 49, single, my kids all have 4 legs, and I take Prozac and Welbutrin. You are not alone. We've had threads on here about the fear that comes with age.
Take your time, and do not pressure yourself to do anything until you feel ready!
