Hello, new to forum

Good Morning, I am new to the forum, however I do visit daily, and am really impressed with all the knowledge, and caring people on the forum. I have lived in a small town in Indiana for a little over a year now, and I am living a 45 year equine dream that I thought would never come true. I have always been the one to help others with their horses, hoping for a free ride. I have a lot to learn about horses, but in the last year have learned so much, and have found true love and bounding. The first horse I found that I fell in love with was an 8 year old TWH gelding, and personality plus, 16h, and a very smooth ride. He sat me proud, and carried us well. I had to put him down in June due to Navicular Disease, after a 7 month fight with the disease. I still tear up when I think of him, he was my buddy, my best friend, and in the little time we spent togeather we grew very close. I now have a 14.1h TWH, she is a good horse, and has a great personality also. I am having a hard time with her size, but know I will get use to it. She is 5, and is so easy to teach new things to, she knows to shake her head yes for a treat, and have also taught her to smile, what a clown she is. I also have a 27 year old APPY, and have developed a wonderful relationship with, after a long hard road of her being mistreated. It has taken a year for her to get close to me, but I am her mommy now, and she is a great girl. I have found such a wonderful deep close attachment with my horses, and they are my life, and my babies, along with my 2 year old Boxer, that I love with all my heart. If I could have more horses I would, but maybe some day.
Well, HELLO to everyone, and hope I have not bored you all.

Hello, Welcome from Missouri Did not bore me at all. I am so very sorry for the loss of your twh gelding, it is even harder when you lose them in the prime of thier life and when you have bonded so deeply. I wish you peace and I am happy that you found another to help you deal in this grieving, she sounds wonderful. Let her help you to heal. Lots of nice folks on her for support and advice.

It is NEVER boring to hear about someone else's horse stories. I am sorry about your loss, but glad to hear you have a new developing relationship with a new one.
Also, I am a fan of Appys... I have one that was close to slaughter before I got him.
WELCOME!!!

Thank You

I want to Thank You ALL for the warm welcome, it is a great feeling to know there are such warm caring horse lovers out there. I feel sometimes when I talk to family and friends about my horses they don't care to listen, and believe me I talk about them a lot. All my life this was a dream, and now my dream is reality, and I have learned so much in the last year, and not only how to work with horse, but the feeling a a great wonderful bond that you can develope with such a big animal. If you have never had a horse no one would believe what personality they have, and how they can be such clowns, and great soul mates. I hope to learn how to post pictures soon, because I love to brag, and show them off to everyone. I am so happy I found HT, because I feel I have found so many caring and loving friends, and so many that have so much knowledge to pass on to help others. What a great group of people I have found here.
