hey all

Hey all...have been following along with you for a short time and decided it was time for me to join...first off...I am Royaldakotabreezes mother...(lucky girl..haha)...we live in South Dakota, have 4 horses (qh and bs paints), and you all have met our newest addition, Chopper. Chopper was a wedding gift from our friends that own his daddy, as I am Doc's biggest "fan". I have always loved horses, started out on the circus pony rides when I was 5...Dad surprised me with a one eyed pony named Queenie when I was 10....worked on a horse farm through high school with qh, tb, and arabs (they bought me my first big horse, Kandi)...moved to Kansas and worked on 2 horse farms...at the time did not realize who I was working for because I was not familiar with paint breed...but one of them was the owners of Triples Titan (he taught me not to be scared of stallions, and they taught me the breeding half of owning a stallion), from there I got in to English/Dressage/Jumping. All was put on hold when my kids came along and now that they are old enough that I can just go do my thing, am getting back in to riding and now have Chopper. I hope to show him halter, as my riding is limited because of my back. I like to work the younger horses to the time they are ready to ride and then pass them on to some one else to train. (I bought an english saddle, as I really missed it..and when I rode..am completely out of shape for it..and off quite a bit..went to post..and my daughter started laughing and said "mom..is that the way its supposed to look?"..needless to say...I just walk now.) Well...thats just the run down..need to go put up fence...am looking forward to chatting with you all as you guys sound like a lot of fun!!

Hi and Welcome from Michigan. I sympathize with your back problems. I was in a car accident a few years back and I have to limit my riding, which breaks my heart.

Hello from Kentucky, roguemare. I too bought an English saddle after riding with western one,and I too walk my horse. I ask my granddaughter(who takes lessons in dressage and jumping) when I trotted was I doing it correctly-she said I was flopping so I decided to walk till I get better balance. Glad to have you with us on HT
