Just found you

We are Paso Fino folks. Getting too old to get beat up by horses that trot. <BG> I am Jane, Hubby is Buddy. Kid is Ian(just off to college last fall) Partner and trainer is Eduardo Figueroa. Have lots of pics and stuff at http://picasaweb.google.com/pasopleasureClick on a pic to see the entire album. New Baby is neat. Just born yesterday. Glad to meet you all!
Anyone else out there into Pasos?

Hi and welcome to the family! I know you'll love it here! I've always admired Pasos from afar but alas we are Quarter Horse folks.

ETA: Your horses are GORGEOUS! My favorite has to be Chimango!

Hey G Bar M...I used to do QH..LONG LONG LONG ago. Actually had an own Poco Bueno son and a 3 Bars daughter. SO now the truth is out..I am an antique.
Few people realize that Paso Finos are COW PONIES! Do great at penning as well. And smart enough to Cut. Maybe most are not big enough to rope a steer off of. But most of mine are 15H and quick.
Nice meeting you

Hi Paige....you have a really really good eye. Yes Chimango is so pretty we call him ALPO so he doesn't get a swelled head. He is a multi-regional Champion in both Bella Forma(Conformation) and Pleasure and a National Bella Forma CH. 15H of big black pussy cat. He's my baby and he gives sweet kisses. Besides the Paso Fino stuff. he can jump, lope, gallop, do sliding stops, roll backs, sit spins, and passage. The only thing I can think of off hand that we have never done with him is roping and barrels. He is a great ambassador for the breed. A real all around horse. YEah...yah can't tell I kinda like him can yah?

I completely understand about having that "favorite". If you look, you will find the many, many threads I've posted about my QH Cody. He is my pride and joy. Here's the thread with the most recent pictures:

Paso Fino's are awesome horses to ride, I just wished mine didnt have a bad habit of rearing....I sold him to a trainer 2yrs ago.....

I got him for free and kept him a year and then he was too much of a problem for me with the rearing if i didnt let him get his way..He won me some nice ribbons before i sold him..Great horse in the paso classes and on barrels, speed, and poles..He was trained to run in those events and do the regular paso fino classes too..

His name was Castillo De Su Casa

I would like to have another one one of these day's

Wow Fancy's Mom...I never had one to rear! At least not much. Glad you appreciate all that Pasos can do...SO many people see them on RFD TV and think all they can do is tacca tacha tacha across a sounding board. Did you have a chance to check our horses on the website? Maybe the pricetag had something to do with why he was a problem horse.Somehow he got messed up and then it became too late. Can happen to any horse of any breed. SOmetimes they are just too hard to fix. Love to get you reintroduced to Pasos properly! Love to introduce you to a Paso that does not have incurable vices. HAH! You'll have FUN!
