Thanks for the wonderful comments on my new horse. She's not perfect, but neither am I. I know we can make it work.

She is not an alpha horse, if you know what they mean by that. So I won't have a terrible time trying to let her know that I am boss. Which is a GREAT thing.

She needs exercised, but still has the GO when you ask, alot of times I have to get her to slow down to a steady trot.... which is really good, at least she still has alot of GO!

I figure that if I can ride her each day, in now time I can trim her down. Today when I rode her, we spent some time running hills , behind the stable. I think she actually liked it....

Anyways, I am happy, and the stable owner said to me today, that Shelby looked happy with her new owner. That made me really happy.

I am keeping her at the same stable where she has been for a couple of months. There, she has her friends, and a calm surroundings. I will be getting lessons 2x a week for the next couple weeks.

At the end of June, I have planned on taking my horse to a weekend clinic at a nearby collage. I am really excited over that.

I am hoping to get a trailer soon so I can do some dressage events with her, but that is too far off right now.....

CARRI- I got rid of the last horse, I cut my losses and gave it away free. It was eith that, or chance getting really hurt by her. There has not been a day that has passed by, that I have not thought about her, I have to convince myself that she will be ok, in her new place, wherever that is.

I'm glad she is doing so well for you! Keep up the good work and keep us posted.

As for your other horse, I think you did the right thing. It probably just wasn't meant to be and you saved yourself some serious injuries. I give you definite props on that one. She has her forever home somewhere out there and she's bound to find it.

Secret, I knew you were looking to get ride of the other one, I just wasn't sure if you found someone to take her. She is probably someone's perfect horse, it just takes the right person!
