Hi from Colorado

Hi! I've been reading the forum for a few weeks now as part of my equine education

We're really new to the horse world, except having taken some lessons as a child and a couple of times as an adult. I always wanted horses, doesn't every little girl?! We moved to Colorado from New Jersey last September, and bought what I believe is great horse property. Started taking lessons, and this week bought to gypsy horses, they should be home in about a month. We're pretty excited, but still a little nervous about doing the right thing for them and us too. We will be working with a trainer, and of course still take general horsemanship and riding lessons for quite some time. Anyway that's an abbreviated version of the beginning of our journey. It's great to finally post after lurking for a while

Welcome Michele, Do what I did when I joined....sit back, read, and soak up all the knowledge and experience the people on here have to share. I have owed horses for 22 years, but on here I learn something new everyday. The people on here are incredible, enjoy!

Hi and welcome from New Hampshire. I am also formerly from NJ and now living in the beautiful mountains of NH. We recently visited our daughter in Colorado and were lucky enough to go trail riding there. What an experience! Are you anywhere near Fort Collins? My daughter is there and she has an equine degree. I am sure that if you ever needed something and couldn't get ahold of your trainer, she would be willing to give you some help. Just PM me if you ever need a hand.
