Hi, I would love to be out with Jack and Clyde, but its cold and rainy here today. Cleaned their lot and stall this morning in a light mist, was hoping to give Jack a good brushing, but looks like it will have to wait.

Other than that it's been a great Christmas
Hope everyone has a great day!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hello and Welcome from East Texas.
We have stayed inside for the most part during this holiday.
It's cold and the ground is soggy from a continuous rain.
But the horses have been feeling playful.
I have been watching them chase each other around the pasture.
I can see the horses from my kitchen window.

Happy Day!

We can see our horses from the backside of our house too! We love it. I can hear when they run around the pasture and they are close enough so if they whinny for me I go outside and say hello. I stand on the deck and talk to them. They do this alot.

I am so glad to be a part of horstopia. I have been reading your helpful posts for almost a year before I decided to finally join. I have laughed, cried, and taken what I have learned back to my pastured friends. Thak you all!!!!

Happy Holiday Greetings!

We had a great holiday! It has been snowing here all day but it is melting as fast as it comes down! We have watched the horses chase each other and roll in the cold mud! Yuck! I will have a lot of cleaning up to do when it is warmer!

Just bought new hay last week and two of my horses like it okay, but Cookie (my daughter's quarterpony) won't touch it . It looks good and smells fine to me. It is tightly packed though, I wonder if that is why she won't eat it?

Hello and welcome from Florida!

Some horses are pickier than others. My stallion, Zippy, is that way. He won't touch the hay from one of the local guys yet the hay Im getting now he eats before his feed and Alfalfa hay! And its the same kind.

Try loosening it up some to see if your pony will eat some. If not, guess you might have to try and get some different hay?
