Hello, new from Florida

Hello, I have been lurking this site for many months now, reading all the very valuable information, following the Mustangs adventures, and loving all the beautiful horses. I've cried over eieio's stories and shared many sorrows and happinesses. I guess it's time I officially joined and said "hello". I live in Merritt Island, Florida near Cocoa Beach on the East Coast. As a child I had horses (Midget - a 1/4 Arab and 3/4 QH and then Southern Belle - Appendix Registered Quarter). I showed hunter/jumper and evented. Right before I went to college my mare Belle died from colic complications. I was devestated as you can imagine. I went to college, got my degree, started a family, work full time and dreamed of someday owning horses again....

I am now starting my second life. I'm getting married to a wonderful man next Saturday. I have three children (twin daughters -9, and son -7) and am shopping for a horse for me and my new hubby. (Yes, he acutally wants to learn to ride!!!). In Feb/April time frame I bought my daughers a QH grade mare 14.2 to learn to ride on. They had been begging for a couple of years and it was finally time to get back into it. And what a dive we're taking... We are loving every minute of it and I have become addicted to Horsetopia. It's true.

I'll post some pictures of our mare on "Meet the Horses". Sorry for the logn post, but I wanted to say "hi" officially.

Denise

Hi Denise! It's great to have you aboard. Pull up a hay bale and make yourself at home.

I'll look forward to seeing photos of your horses. And, congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
