Hiya! Fellow Army spouse in Bamberg.. dunno how far that is from you. We had an AirForce spouse on here too.. but I havn't seen her in awhile.

I've been in Germany for a year now, first duty station.. my husband was Guard for 3 years before going active duty. He's in Iraq right now, comes back in October.

Your horse is gorgeous!!! I love the markings!

I've heard good things about Colorado!

Welcome to the forum!

I had to laugh when I read your horses name. My sisters name is Desi and she was in the army and lived in Augsburg, Germany for 10 or 12 years.

Howdy and Welcome from Va.

I am not sure where Bamburg is I will have to look it up. We are close to Hanau Germany and of course Frankfort My Husband's unit was in Iraq for 16 months from 2003 to 2004 Germany is our first duty station as well. Thank You for the comment on my horse. I sure am excited to get to be with her again. It has been 2 years now. I have only been in Germany that long but my hubby has been here almost 3 years now. IF you are ever going to be in the area I would love to meet you. I dont know many people here most of our unit is single soldiers. Not sure If you know about this but there is a Horse clinic in April 2006 by Leslie Desmond in a town called Kolin it cost 30 euros to go without a horse not sure what it cost with a horse I tried to go last time she was here but I was sick and couldnt go If you are interrested I can get you the web site for the info just let me know
HAVE A GREAT DAY

Interested? In a horse clinic? Me? of course!! Name the day!! I'll take a train!!

I know where Hanau is... about 2 hours driving... you're west of me, and a smidge north, I think.

The friends I've made here aren't spouses of our unit either... mostly grown up Army brats or German nationals. I have a few from the unit... but not many. We're about 50% of single soldiers.

My brother in law was stationed in Darmstadt.. that should be close to you too. I took the train there all the time before he left for Iraq.
