hello from Georgia

Hello! I'm 24, live in Georgia. I just moved down here about a year ago from "My Old Kentucky Home".

I think I'll always consider KY my "home". I miss it

I noticed that several people on here are from Ky

I'm originally from Danville, KY for those Kentuckians who know where that is....lived there for 23 years

I have one horse of my own, Smoke, a TWH gelding. He's about 12 years old. (not sure..he's not registered...don't know when he was foaled) He's not here in GA with me just yet. He's still munching hay at the parents farm in KY. I'm taking lessons at a local barn, and they've offered to let me bring Smoke down and take lessons on him at a discounted rate, so hopefully, I'll be taking them up on that soon!

My husband and I have about 4 1/2 acres that is completely wooded and not ready for horses yet. And no barn yet either

So that's a working progress.

We have one dog...and old one

and two of my cats (who are still in KY) and one cat that has adopted US as it's owners here recently.

That's about all for now

WELCOME to the boards and Georgia!! I moved here last year from Texas (sooooo happy too...lol)...I had been in TX for 10 years and had enough of it...sorry all you TX people...just isn't my cup of tea.

I'm in Warner Robins, just outside of Macon now. LOVE it...the people are wonderful, my house is beautiful and my kids have tons of friends now and a fantastic school.
I board my gelding over in Fort Valley now, but hopefully we'll be making our final move in a couple of years, and will be purchasing some land near by...then he can be home with Mom...
