Hi from Alberta!

Hi! My name is Kristine and I live in Alberta, Canada. I have been around horses for 7 years, taken lessons and cared for other people's horses but have never owned one of my own.

I am being given a mare in the spring and I am really excited about getting her! Her name is Birdie and she is 18 years old.

Birdie's a Quarter Horse. Her owners are giving her away because they can't ride anymore and they want her to have a home where she will be ridden. She is a really easy keeper and needs to lose some weight! I'm going to get her a grazing muzzle for summer and ride her lots when I get her!!

I went and saw her on Friday and she is very calm and sweet! My friend and I rode her and she is very responsive and has a lovely smooth trot. The people that have her have owned her since she was a weanling and have taken wonderful care of her so she is in really good shape and is really well trained.

Another welcome from yet another Albertan ! Nice to have you join us here . We do have another sub-forum here in the regional area for Albertans, which I *think* you can add yourself to by going to the User CP on that green strip across the screen, and then to "Group Memberships"... just kinda nice for Alberta specific stuff, or getting a little more personal . I'm NW of Edmonton, which part of Alberta are you from?

Congrats in advance on getting Birdie

Hello from another fellow Albertan!

I think I'm one of the most eastern in the province, almost to the Saskatchewan border.

Birdie sounds very nice! We will need pictures when you get them
