Smile Hi--New here

Hi all, new here. I live in Alabama with 7 equines. The love of my life is Mark, my TWH. I don't show, just trail ride. I've never learned to post pics, gotta do that.

Welcome to HT from Kentucky. My oldest granddaughter just got a TWH mare and she is experiencing the smoothness of her gaits. I have a TB gelding that I ride whenever I am at my daughter's,plan to ride Saturday-day calls for 60 degree weather. We also have Shetland pony mare,Paint/QH gelding and my son-in-law has a QH gelding.

Wow!

Wow Crystal, if I had 17 TWH, I'd think I'd died and gone to Heaven! It really is true, ride one today, own one tomorrow! Go gaited, you'll never go back! LOL! When I first got Mark I took him to a small, local show ground to ride in their arena. There was a teenaged girl there I'd been watching ride, good rider. She said always wanted to ride a TWH, I let her ride Mark, biggest smile I've ever seen on her face! Her Mom came over and said, "I'd never be able to afford a horse like that, I don't want her riding him." She made the girl get down, kid followed her Mom off, but looking back all the way. Mark is a steady-eddie or I wouldn't have let her ride him, but should have asked the Mom first I guess. That hurt my feelings! LOL!

I know what you mean about the BIG smile! I have a lady who comes here for lessons. I sold very quiet gelding she had done her two previous lessons on. He was young and wasn't into going very fast. So last night she had her lesson on my stallion and just had him going. She got the biggest smile, and just fell in love with him and the breed.
