Yes I do have a gaited horse. I actually raise them and trail ride them. I have a absolutely beautiful palomino mare. She is not registered but I love her all the same. She is 8 years old. When she came to me she had been roughed around and really didn't trust people but now she knows here she will never be mistreated. She has a super smooth gait. I have gone as far with her that she knows several tricks and believe that is what has built such a trusting bond with us.

Hi Terry what type of gaited horse do you ride? My horse is out of a racking mare and twh stallion. I used to breed and raise TWH but you know right now you really can't get a lot out of weanlings and yearlings. So now I buy 2 or 3 year olds sometimes yearlings or weanlings and train them for trails and tricks and resell.

Welcome to HT from another gaited horse owner (currently TWHs and mountain horses, although I've done the foxtrotter and Paso route too).

I just brought home a 9 year old gold champagne Walkaloosa mare a month ago. Now if it would just quit raining maybe I could finally ride her before winter hits.
