Well, I purchased my DREAM horse a couple weeks ago, and he is a 3 yr old, 16.1h TB/Percheron Cross. He is unbroke, so I am currently doing all ground work and desensatizing of him. He's cool w/ the saddle, lunges, and you can toss about anything around when you are on the ground (even a bright orange rain coat) and he does nothing. When I am on the mounting block above him, petting him, etc he is still learning to stand and not be worried.
After almost 2 weeks of getting him used to me on and off the mounting block, petting him all over from up there, laying across him at a walk, etc...the time finally came for the milk carton with the rocks

I know everyone has their different training methods, and hope I do not get tomotoes thrown at me for this one. After getting him used to the milk carton on the ground, and all over him, it was secured to the saddle. The big thing Rio learned yesterday was that it stopped rattling when he stopped. Instead of panicking and running, he learned to stop when scared. Here is a picture of us from yesterday
