Please critique XC pics

So, took sebastion for his second ever go at cross country on saturday. He was a little nervous to begin with, but we got into our groove pretty quick. Tell me what ya think.

my fave pic

then the wonderfully scary bank

we went again yesterday... was worse, did bigger stuff, he got really nervous, a few refusals... then we nosedived into the bank. Apparently sebastion forgot he had legs... Thankfully we only had to pick the rocks out of his head and my shoulder, and we were back going again

The pics are great
He looks keen and sensible. I'd like to see his legs a little tighter, when they are uneven (and his aren't bad, should improve with experience) the chance of catching one and having a rotational fall x country is there.
You are maintaining your position well, lower leg quite solid.
On a high headed horse like this it is easy to get thrown back or left behind, you look slightly behind in one pic, just something to keep in mind.
Sorry about the crash, but good for you to keep going.

Love the pics! Maybe you need to do some ground training to remind your horse he has legs and needs to use them!!!! J/K

Looks like you had a ton of fun! Sorry about the nose dive. Everything looks good to me. You can't be exact all the time but from what I see you are both doing your jobs well.

Looks like you had fun I agree with the tighter knees. Other than that and the nose dive I think you had a great weekend

Thanks guys!
I do agree with everything said. He was quite rushy and having some mental issues sitting back and not rushing and taking longs. He got better after the fall, so I think he didnt quite understand how everything is solid out there. Once he gets relaxed with it I think it will come... He doesnt ever touch rails or anything, so he doesnt seem to "get it" sometimes.

Thanks
Im pretty **** proud of this little guy. He was(well still is) SO nervous, It is his bloodlines. 9/10 of his breeders horses are bold, curious and cuddly... Him and his brother were quiet, reserved, and scared of stuff. His nephews were close to the same(or so I saw). The females in the lines were normal, but the males were nervous. The first time i put a pole on the ground to free jump him(Sept 16 of last year), he was shaking and wouldnt go NEAR it, much less over it...
so he has taken some big steps!
Our first 3 day event is aug 15-17!!
