OMG! How cool! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your donkey!!!

I don't have any tricks at the moment, but have full intentions of doing so. Can you share how you got Leroy to smile?!?

Too cute, love the Orelanders and Eeyore is absolutely adorable. If you ever need a home for him, he is welcome here.

Calicocagirl, I don't know if cone carrying is a trick, but I know they pay those highway guys $15 a hour to set them on and off the freeway...Maybe it would be a way to pay the vet for Mr. Accident?

Calico, give credit where credit is due! That isnt just cone carrying, that looks like Cone Relay! Even better!

The hay-bale-sitting trick is absolutely precious.

My horse knows no tricks. i feel inferior.

Our attention spans are too short for trick leaning

But all of those are so cool

My horses have always done tricks by accident or because they wanted to do it on there own. DOES THAT COUNT?

Yeah Scotty has a trick. He knows which one of us (either me or hubby) has the horse treats in their pocket. Maybe it's ESP. Does that count?

Not a stupid question, i get it all the time. I didnt even know what they were until I started training for the guy who imported them and now is breeding them. They are a breed from southern germany. A versitile smaller draft horse. Very smart! from my experience. Frisky now knows about 20 tricks i think. I ran out of things to teach her to be honest. Boy are they pretty under saddle too! He does alot of weddings and parades with them pulling. They are great all around horses. Also can carry a heavy rider too because of thier build. And the rider feels better too because they actually look small on these big guys! I prefer my quarter horses, but it was fun working with them. Heres a great example of thier build. Meet Stanley a stout and perfect example of thir breed. (didnt teach him any tricks tho)

Love the picture of that donkey! Too cute!!

I really miss my trick horse, Elkie. She was my first Arabian mare and I lost her nearly 10 years ago. I have her daughter and 2 granddaughters still. Unfortunately, I've never taken the time to try and teach them.
Elkie was trick trained before I bought her but she was a lot of fun to play around with. She could bow, rear, sit, lay down and count.

Horselady44, that scenery in the background is incredible! Your boy just ads to the beauty. So pretty!

Gator smiles too, and will march in place for a treat (need to get video of that). He'll also do a "cute face" where he stretches his head way out, turns it and smiles goof ball!

Trubble can smile, and stand on things too.

Sterling can lay down on command, but no pics of that yet, and we're working on marching with him, he still thinks we're asking him to paw.

Gracie likes to jump to the side really fast sometimes, does that count as a trick?

I Have seen that 'trick' a few times
During lessons, my gelding 'Jumps to the side' and switches directions really quick, but picture its more like a horse cutting a cow...
I'm sure theres a purpose for that somwhere... we just havent found it yet...
