Ok, first I'll say I agree with what you've got so far. It's a really good place to start. Second, if you have specific questions, ask away I can probably answer them. I grew up with TWHs and I have trained a few. In fact a person who's horses I trained just joined the forum today. I don't know who lonnie kuhen is but I bet you I will before long, lol. I have to speak to the babyboomer comment now...I get a lot of flak in NorthWest GA because I ride an "old man's horse" but I'm starting to see a lot more gaited horses now. For some reason people here think that gaited horses can't do things that a QH can. Now I'm not saying that QH's don't excel at some things I'm just saying gaited horses can do more than gait. I've had TWHs that know how to rope and cut etc.etc. So when you get a gaited horse, don't think it's only for trails. Finally, I have always had an easier time training gaited horses than straight gaited horses, so in my opinion they are easier to work with.
