Bragging about my filly!! :)

OMG! I love my little Gypsy/Haflinger X filly!! Since Sammie is down at the breeders I've been working more with Teddie. I think she was born without any flight instinct and she shows alot of curiosity. I have a treat container that I use to bring her feed out to her in the pasture. Once I have her fed, I beat the container and it sound like a big bass drum. Boom-boom-boom ba-ba- boom-boom-boom all the while I march through the pasture. LOL ( good thing the neighbors can't see me) Anyway she just watches and when I get close to her she walks up and touches her nose on the container while I banging it!! *Hmmm that's interesting* she thinks and casualy walks back to her feeder...... .
then this morning there was a piece of plastic in the pasture that the storms must have blown in. It must have been litter for years as it was kinda crackley sounding when I went to pick it up. *Hmmmmmm.. another good desensitizing device* I thought. So I walk around Teddi crackling this old wore out piece of trash and she looks up from her feed intersted and walks up to me and puts her nose on it, sniffs it and slowly walks back to her feed. So I walk over and start rubbibng her with it--she casually moves over a couple steps--I walk over to her and rub her some more with it and start scrathing her at the same time and she just stands there enjoying her noisy body message! LOL She is just a LOVE!!

Oh she is SO sensible. I've had my share of flighty horses and at my age I need to have a calm steady horse!
Thanks for the compliments!! Teddie has Brains and Beauty!! WOOHOO!

The last picture is so funny. It's like, "uh oh! She caught me!" But of course she isn't doing anything wrong. It just looks like that, lol. Shes soo pretty.

She is so cute. How old is she? How tall is she...and what do you think she will mature at (if she's young). I love her face...what a kind eye. Just curious why you stack two tractor tires on top of eachother...isn't thing too high for the horses? Maybe you know something that I need to know

The story behind that picture is funny. I put the stick up on top of the feeder to get her to stretch out and pose. And as I took the picture she looked at me with that cute little face like "are you getting this". You know, the way children do when you are trying to get a casual shot of them. LOL what a character she is!

LOL- There's plywood screwed inbetween the two tires. It keeps the feed up off the sandy ground and is virtually indistructable! If you want to move it. You need to have two people flip it up on it's side and then just roll it to the area you want it! I call it my redneck feeder! Oh, I forgot to add....she is 15 months old and 13.2 hands tall. I believe she will at least reach 14.2h.
