Gotta Brag

Ok, I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself! I have never raised and trained a horse before. I have been working with my 9 month old filly (Tessa) and yearling colt (Chase) almost everyday. It's hard to get in much time with them since I work 2 jobs, but even if I only have 10 minutes to spare, I give it to them.
I posted before that I was having trouble getting the halter on Tessa. I was having to make her run. Well, she is over that now. I can put the halter on both, spray them with fly spray, put their fly masks on and touch them all over.
As of this week, I can pick up and clean out every hoof and have been putting a saddle blanket on them. Today I wormed them and they were great. They are both so calm and willing.
Until our new pasture is fenced they are still let loose in our fenced backyard. When I go back there they both come running up to me to be loved on.
While I'm still sad that I lost Tessa's mom (Gypsy), I am glad god gave her to me for a short time to get Tessa.
