Yep. We will give Joe all the comforts of home: treats, good food, lots of attention and a playmate at night so he doesn't get lonely!!

You are soooo kind

Believe me, if we could, I would love to come visit... I think the lakes are only about 10 hours from us - but this is not a good time of year to take a vacation Although Joe would think it was if I told him what a fine hotel he would be staying at

Gabar: I know how that goes. We have lakes only 5 miles away - ask us how many times the boat gets taken out to go fishing? Were lucky if we get out more than 4 times.

Summers are so busy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is why we spent the money this year to put up a pool - I hate spending that much, but if you figure we really have not taken a vacation in at least three years, and probably won't for another three, it is pretty cheap yearly for long term summer entertainment - finish the stalls, hit the pool; work a horse, hit the pool; just feel lazy, hit the pool - and we never have to leave home!

Hubby and I are planning on heading up. Got our rooms reserved so barring some sort of natural disaster we will be there!

My hubby thinks the same thing, but he's wrong. We're going to CA if I have to stick him in the trunk. I told him we can cut it on Thursday or Friday and let it dry over the weekend and it'll be all ready to bail on Monday night. Sounds like a plan to me.

Well, if you pretend you're planning to bail hay, inevitably it will rain, and you'll be able to go to CA.

I wish I was going - you ladies have fun!

There's room for 2 bodies in my trunk if you'd like to stick him in with my hubby...don't ask why I know this.

Do you have tickets already? If not, I've got extras that I don't need.

No, as far as I know we haven't gotten tickets yet. Let me check with my husband first. Otherwise I can buy them from you if you want.

PM me and let me know if you need some. You can get in 15 minutes early with them so I'm going to stake out the best spot to receive freebies and camp there all weekend.

Apparently I need to come out of my cave more often because I didn’t even know he was coming! Can someone fill me in on the times/location – do you have to go every day? It’s the one weekend I’m actually not going camping (but Saturday morning is Bella’s spinal tap).

To add to pvf's post he'll be at the fairgrounds. You can check his site for all the other info. Still have extra tickets if anybody needs any.
