Project horse? Update 1/21

Here is a paint 5 year old stallion that a friend of mine has and they dont want him. Of course the first thing that will happen if I do get him is off the the kahoona's.

He is pony size and looks to have some Arab in him.
They have some mustangs from me and still owe me, but I thought I would take him enstead, geld him, he is broke to ride, see how he does and if he for kids, train him on the games.

Kid game horses go for some bucks around here and I think I can do something with him.

What are your thoughts as a project and resale? Or I may send him down for the Grandkids in S. FL.

Not a Paint person, but I like him...

He's nice looking and looks Pony size. Gotta snip him first

He's broke to ride too. Hmmmm, kids horses go for big bucks around here too, if he's got some Arabian in him, how bout an all-rounder

He's flashy enough to do well in the short stirrup H/J classes too...

From one enabler to another: Go for it

I am thinking on it.
Some of these other horses have got to go.

Cant keep them all ya know.

I am really getting out of the breeding thing as for me as far as raising foals and of course Snickers will die here, so after a lot of talking to Hubby and deciding what we want to do, all the mares are going except Snickers. Most of these geldings are going as well. Keeping a few for riding and of course going to have to concentrate on Scotchy, so we are going a different way from now on.

This guy was a rescue that Animal Control took and then my friend got him.

Got any TB's

As a re-sale, I think you could make a nice penny on him.. At least around here Pony's, especially Paints, are a hot commodity. It all depends on how much time and work you'll need to put into him though...

He looks nice enough. He is a good size, great for kids, and even a small adult could benefit from him. Once all is said and done, you could make a pretty penny on him. I guess I am guilty of being an enabler as well .

I would go for it! He's really pretty. Nice size for a kid. Get him gelded and he should be fine!

He is here and the most unruly pain in the rump.
I cant get the Vet here fast enough to get those trouble makers snipped.

I had to put him in a fortress to keep him from being sto studdy and acting like everything that came near was a mare.
He would dropped for everything that came by.

He really needs some manners and as soon as I get done with my appoitment tomarrow me and him are going to school.

Will keep everyone posted.

Cannot wait to hear how his first day at school goes

I think he is going to wish he was back in the easy class instead of the one that expects him to act the gentleman is supposed be.

super! he's sure a cute little guy, hope he does well with his 'personality adjustment operation'.

I'm sure you'll have him docile in no time.

He's a cutie. Have fun with your meetings for awhile they might be a bit entertaining. I'll bring some beer and popcorn down for anyone who wants to watch!

I like his looks - and I am sure I will like the way he behaves once Miss Kim is done teaching him how to be a gentleman... Have fun!

he looks well balanced with good bone...once he is gelded some of his attitude can be retrained into competive energy for games, or endurance trail riding. a keeper!

I am working with/leasing a horse like him with a lot of energy and attitude- once we found the right outlet ( for him, it turned out to be jumping) he was amazing! He was all business and focused on jumping the first time like he did it his whole life. So I think a bold in your face horse can be great, if you find his "thing"
