trick training

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to help me with trick training, specifically bowing. my gelding is young but he learns everything very fast. I saw an article on how to train your horse to do a bow but it didnt make much sense. any suggestion?

I thought my gelding how to bow in a day! It was so easy.... I just kinda thought it up so I don't know if there are any actual trainers out there that do it my way. Any how, I started by making him take a treat from holding it at his chest. Once he got that down good I moved it to under his belly where the girth would be. After that I held up one foot, had him reach between his legs for the treat and once he got to where the girth would be I had him follow the treat the rest of the way down to the ground.... IF you have any more questions or need more help feel free to pm me!

You might want to look into Clicker Training. This was originally used to trick train dolphins. I've Clicker Trained my horses- it's a lot of fun and so rewarding. I'm sure you could get your horse to bow on cue with it.
