First farrier visit

Not sure that this is the right place to post this but our foal is now 7 weeks old. Had the farrier out(other horses were due) so we decided to do the foal also--------well I have been leading him and picking up his feet--but I haven't been hanging on to them just a short pick up WELL lets just say he wasn't haveing any part of the first farrier visit. While his mom was being done I had him on a lead and for awile he was great then he just got p-ed for really no reason at all--ears flattened(never seen him do that before) and he flipped out.......bucking and rearing ended up kicking me double barreled in the stomach---wow did he knock the wind out of me!!!! But tell ya what the farrier let him have it and I think he learned a few lessons that day. he wasn't good during his turn either but the farrier is very skilled with foals and it got done and like I said I think the foal may have learned a few more manners........................little stinker
