Need a trainer

I have a 6yr old paint mare out of King Fritz and Chex. I am wanting to send her to a trainer to get her ready to run barrels. Here is my problem...I have no idea where a trainer to do that is located. She is in foal right now so it would be about this time next year or close to the end of this year that I would send her. I just cannot find a trainer. If anyone can help I would appreciate it very much.

1. If you know of horse people in your area stop and ask them, I've found out lots that way. 2. Get out your phone book and look up horses in the yellow pages, you'll find a list of trainers. 3. Check the newspapers and classified ads, including internet 4. Stop at boarding stables 5. Training is very expensive. I have found out this, my gelding had 6months of pro training, and I'd never pay it again, its way too much! Good luck, post pic's of your mares baby when she has it!

If you're interested in having her trained for barrels, go to some NBHA or open jackpots and watch them. Usually you can find advertisements on the bulletin boards or you can watch the competition and find out who the trainers are of the horses you like. Many times the trainers will bring a whole trailer load of horses and just run them in the exhibitions but only actually compete on one or two. Watch how they ride and how there horses work. That is the best way to find a good trainer, that and word of mouth.
