Jozie is coming along.

Jozie and her previous owner didn't get along well, (I knew this before I bought her) and I think she pulled a couple stunts with her old owner and intimidated her. She is a smart pony and I have had smart ponies in the past. Hee hee hee so Jozie doesn't phase me at all. Her old owner couldn't catch her in the pasture and I can walk right up to her. Even making progress with walking up to her with a halter in my hand, "catching" and releasing her.
Well Hazelle (my sister) came over and we trimmed Jozie's feet this morning. She did pretty well all around. A couple of kick outs at Hazelle, but I made Jozie back up, she licked and chewed, thought it over and decided she couldn't buffalo us and was a good girl the rest of the time. Hazelle played with her afterwards and did some flexing with her and some body rubs all over (desensitizing) until she was relaxed all over and then we put her up for the day. I really like this mare.
