Bklyn,

I answered your question about where is Zone 5 inaccurately.

Zone 1 is from in front of the eye forward
Zone 2 is from the eye to the shoulder
Zone 3 is at the barrel (where we sit when we ride)
Zone 4 is the hip and butt and
Zone 5 is from the tail and back

One could also consider anything under the horse as Zone 6 and anything above the horse as Zone 7.

I've also been thinking about Angel wanting her butt scratched. The dominant horse initiates and ends a grooming session (which is what you and she are doing). So, I would say if she is doing this without being invited by you, you might want to not let her anymore. If you invite her into your bubble and begin to scratch her and end when you decide, then that would be different.

Just saw all the newer replies. Thanks guys.

I never considered her dangerous...BUT, she is trying to test me in many other ways, so I think I oughta take control everywhere...even where I didn't before.

I do enjoy scratching her...but I think you're right...I need to be the one to invite and initiate.
