I am so proud of him!

I usually complain on the forum but not today .
Due to bad (awful +) workmanship, I cannot use my arena . The only way I can ride is in the field behind the house. My arena has lights, the field does not. I can only ride very early in the morning (night). I bought a head lamp that I taped to my helmet. So, in the relative darkness, my horse of 18 months rides and gives it its best! The ground is uneven, not flat and by his attitude, at times, I suspect that we are a good show for the deer....lol. He tried so hard at his half pass today! He must trust me more than I trust myself. I am so proud of him!!!!

So where's his head lamp Sounds like a creative solution from the truly desperate to ride. If nothing else you'll have amused deer! I admire your determination to ride and his trust in you, what a bond this will create.
Hopefully you will have access to your arena soon, but then this will take all the challenge out of it

What a resourceful idea you have come up with. Hopefully, your arena will be repaired soon; but in the meantime, you can still ride.

Isn't it amazing what we can come up with just so we can ride? Sounds like you have a good horse there too!

Envious!

Wow, what a wonderful experience. We have a new but usually very agreeable horse. On a beautiful night lit by a glowing full moon, my husband told my daughter she and her horse cold ride. My daughter took her out to the grassy riding ring, where her horse turned on her heels and hightailed it back to the barn.
