Little Trip To The Mtns

This weekend my Sunshine took off to the mtns to ride some. Sat we rode Fort Mtn from my farriers house. Sat night we went to Jacks River at the Cottonwood Patch with my farrier and his sunshine and another fried of ours. Its a great primitive campground to got to with horses. Alot of places to tie and does have water and a out house. We rode bout 6 hrs sat and bout 8 on sun. My Sunshine rode Ginger on Sat but on Sun she got to ride her horse Fancy for the first trail ride since she had her baby. She was so excited.

Here is a couple from Sat

And a couple of Sun

And a couple of camp

And the last one of our home away from home with my sunshine and 3 of our horses

Great pictures and I wish I could take my heeler on a ride with us(too aggressive, tries to eat the horses).I think part of it is jealousy as she doesn't like anyone human or otherwise close to me.

Great pictures ... looks like you all had a wonderful time. Eight hours on a horse .. wow, I'd be sore for a month!

My next goal is to buy a horse trailer so my husband and I can hit some of the state parks with horse trails. That's on the agenda for next year.

That looks like such a wonderful place to go! What a great set up you all have. Sleeping quarters and a pop-up corral. Who could ask for more?

Yes we had a great time. We started out in Ga., rode the river trail into Tenn and took the forrestry roads back. And the campground is great. And for 8 bucks a night with tons of trails you cant beat it. We saw deer, razorback hogs, no bears this time but there was tons of trout. Gonna head back prolly in a month after most the wagon trains are done.

Gorgeous! I would probably get lost though in the woods though--I envy those of you with trail sense. North, south, east, west, it all looks alike to me! I need those super well marked trails that say "Campground this way"
