Wonderful day in K-country!

My sweetie and I went trail riding in Kananaskis on Sunday. It was his first time on a horse, and I thought he did really well! We both had such a great time, and it was so nice to get out of the city for a while. So, without delay, here's some pics!!

Here's Beau looking a little unsure at first:

I think this on'es funny, because both me and "my" horse have our eyes closed - lol!

Beau looking a little more comfortable:

Our trail guide untacking Jack:

Riley:

After the ride, we took a little drive down the road. We found this beautiful gully, so we stopped for a little rest:

the Sheep River:

Aaaannnnndddd this is where he proposed! Yep, he popped the big question! He was so nervous just before he did it too! Such a perfect spot, it was really romantic! We want to get this pic framed:

He said he was thinking about asking me on the ride, but he was too scared of losing the ring! I don't blame him! lol!
So all in all, I think it was a pretty awesome day!

Oh, and here's a pic of the ring. It's a bit blurry tho:

I love it!! I didn't even like giving it to the jewlers to get sized!

AWW that's so sweet! You have some amazing pictures there. I like that paint, he is stunning. And you have a gorgeous ring

It further convinces me I must migrate to Canada.

Thanks so much guys! He's a really great guy, and I'm really impressed with the ring he picked out. He only had a rough idea of what I liked, so yeah, he did good! My mom's been calling all morning with wedding ideas - lol! One of the best parts is he says he'd like to go riding out there again
The pics (even though some of them are pretty nice if I do say so myself!) don't quite do the scenery justice - it's even more amazing to see from the back of a horse! If anyone wants to go, just let me know!

Congrats on the proposal.. Great spot to have it happen in.. If you don't mind me asking where is that. We have been to Mesa Butte lots and are looking for other spots. But we ussually have out 3 year old son leadline so the trails have to be wide. Thanks

We went to Anchor D Ranch just west of Turner Valley. Here's their website: http://www.anchord.com/ Everyone out there is really friendly and knowledgable. Horses are all in great shape too.

Talking

Those are some great pictures! That's how my guy proposed too, although the scenery wasn't as beautiful!! It was early December right in the middle of a snow storm. THe horses were out in their shelter and we went to visit with warm mash. He was down on one knee and my horses were right next to me trying to get a look at the ring!

It's perfect when your guys understands just how much horses are truly in your life!!
