Cinnamon and My first official ride alone!!!

Well Cinnamon My mare I've had about 1 yr and 6 months and I just went out for our first ride together alone for about an hour. We only road o the roads BUT before we moved here there was no way I could take her alone. She is great.

We went past several other horses and she had to holler at them and get high headed but never went past a walk I always felt VERY safe.

When I first got her she was VERY herd sour to the point of rearing up on me to not leave them. She would hollor and twist and turn and refuse to go forward. With time and patience she now will trust me to go alone.

We had dogs come charging at us and cars pass us, my son even rode his motorcycle around us and she was fine with that.

Her ONLY negitive was she refused to stand and not move when asked to stop. We will just have to work on that but she is defenitly my forever girl!!!!!! Can you tell I'm so proud of her and the best part is I have her baby to train up and she is turning out just as calm and quiet as her mom!!!!

I'm also weaning meg finally in a corral by herself and it has been about tree weeks so maybe that has had something to do with it also?

Congrats on the first official ride alone. Sounds like it went well. It's such a good feeling when all of the sudden you click.
