This is the life in B.C.

I thought I would share a couple of pictures of me having a great time Trail Riding on Vancouver Island, in B.C. I have never crossed a river before and Jack my Morgan was awsome. We also had to go down a very very steep sand and rock hill to get to the river then back up it. I have never experienced that kind of riding before either. I have been put to the test with my riding skills since July 1st when I first moved to the present boarding facility which is awsome. I have had so much fun.

Me on my Morgan and another girl on her Freisian:

Me crossing the river. Oh what fun:

Looks like you had a great time. Which one is you -- dark blue shirt or light blue shirt? I can't tell -- oh nevermind, I am assuming the horse with the "furry feet" is the friesen and you said you were riding the morgan. Having a slight "blonde" moment

Horselessnomore, you got it right, I am the one with the dark blue T Shirt.

Saelym, I live in Parksville so that is even closer than Nanoose. I drove through Courtney a couple of week-ends ago. It is a lovely drive out that way. We drove to Comox and had supper by the ocean. Watched the seal swim amongst the boats. It was awsome.

BkLynCwGrl, Jack my Morgan does not like puddles either. He will make every effort to walk around them. The river must look different to them as he was such a trooper.

Gottoloveduns, it is about 10 - 15 minutes away from where I live. It is a beautiful Island though.

After this ride, Jack ended up with a swollen leg. Don't know if it was due to the ride or maybe he got chased in the field and while trying to get away he may have twisted/sprained his leg. I rested him until today then took him on a short ride just around the grass field. He appeared fine so will take him on a short trail ride tomorrow and take it easy.

Yes, it is great riding, everyone. And it is like Gods country. The weather has been beautiful, also, so that helps too.
