More riding pics!

My friend has this paint, Tamal. Tamal has bucked her off and our other occassional riding buddy. She is 6 years old, and I suppose she's fairly green. I mean she really doesn't understand much of anything. So...since Hope is out of commission, and I'm soooo brave now, , I decided to see what all the hubbub was about.

Please note: I am NOT a trainer...and have not been asked to train this horse. So while I might do alot more ground work with her if I were her trainer...I am not her trainer...I just rode her today.

So, my friend ponied Tamal to my house so we could practice on my dressage court. That way if I got tossed, at least it would be on some soft ground!

Here we are just mosying around.

Here she is with her head too high!

and with her head too low...

And she is SLOOOOOW as molasses...seriously. I had my spurs dug so far into her. I've watched my friend ride her...on a very loose rein and never asks her to walk out or anything. I was trying to give her more contact and not letting her trot to keep up, but to walk. Thats why my feet always look like the heels are up! LOL

Here's just a leeetle video...nothing exciting...just us walking around the dressage court.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3Pdo...n8/default.jpg

(you can hear my husband yelling )

Anyway...we then went out on the trail...and she tested me...but she's NOTHING compared to my mare, Hope! She even threw in a buck ... and I'm like "you call that a buck!!!???"

So...it's nice to know I can ride other horses. At least today I managed. Who knows...tomorrow, I may be posting pictures of me in a cast! LOL

Anyway...as usual...thanks for looking.

Strange...I edited it. Hope it works. If not, I have to fix it later. I'm leaving the house now.

I was able to watch the video. She's a pretty horse. You are brave and confident.

So I rode her again today. She was fine until we got near her home...she started getting a bit antsy. Which I was okay with...BUT then...LOL...she did one of the famous bucks I'd heard so much about. It certainly felt like all fours were off the ground. It was kinda neat...I wasnt' in danger of falling off or anything...and she only did the one. But again..it was nice to know I rode it out!

She's cute Robin! Glad I finally ran over here to find this thread. I think you're a pretty good rider actually and you're doing well. Its really cool that you're venturing out to other horses...although after riding Hope, you SHOULDNT be scared of other horses hahahhaa

Nicely done. Maybe after you ride her a bit she won't be so used to getting away with her nasties!
