I have now moved Jack my Morgan to a new trail riding barn
I have now been on Vancouver Island with Jack for nearly 2 months. After looking around and checking out a number of boarding facilities, I decided on the one I moved Jack to last Tuesday. He has his own large paddock with a large walk in shelter with access to 20 - 40 acres of pasture each day. He has been in a small field on his own for the last two months and today he was put out to pasture with the other horses for the first time. All went extremely well. He was supposed to be segregated for 10 days for the horses to get to know each other over the fence but as Jack is so laid back and is such a nice guy, they told me I could put him out today (day 4).
I have been on a couple of wonderful exhilirating trail rides and this is the kind of riding I have been dreaming about all my adult life. I have met some wonderful people and I am sure that I am going to have a great time staying at this place. Everyone are trail riders although they all come from different backgrounds. i.e. Hunter jumper, dressage, etc.
I took Jack into the river a bit today and he was awsome. Didn't go in too far as the weather wasn't sunny so we will wait for a hot sunny day to do this. This is something else I have always wanted to do.
As soon as I get some pictures, I will post some but I didn't take my camera with me today. But there will be pictures comming in the future.
