If Wayne tells me Freckles is ready that weekend it will work perfect. Right now she is still being a complete lady and letting Beau do his thing. But we probably will come. Bringing Apache down for Wayne to train.

There is just no time.

We will be coming over with Wayne. Picked up Freckles today and left Apache there so she should be ready by the 21st. So we will be coming over with Wayne to ride.

That's fine, was done there yesterday and it was horribly hot. Might be down anyway to ride with Wayne as he might have Apache ready by then.

Heck, I live in NW Ga and it was 98 here and was in the triple digits down there on Friday. I think the heat index was 110. Need to get the South Georgians to come ride up here in the summer. Mountains aren't far and it always feels 10-15 degrees cooler.

How long is the trail? How advanced of a rider do you need to be?

For our rides in Soperton, we ride they way the greenest horse and rider are. If you and your horse are seasoned then it is a whole different ball game. We don't have trails. we make them Mud belly deep, water chest and saddle deep, you name it they encounter it.

Seriously though, we have all been green at one time or another and had green horses. I still have young horses that need to be lighter worked until they are used to it. We respect all that ride with us.

In Soperton we will ride 6, 7, 8 hours in one day and never pass the same place. So I think it is anywhere from 10 to 20 miles in one day.

GAGIRL-I loaded up with Huckabuck and family to ride yesterday in the Kennesaw area and it was fine when we left Cartersville but when we got there it was so hot we only rode about an hour. Then on the way home we passed a bank sign that said 101. If it was hotter than that in south GA I feel for you folks. I also just found out how far away you guys (in Soperton) are from us in NW GA, we'd have to drive down the day before and camp then ride, camp again and drive back the next day. I know that this ride has been cancelled but would there be available camping if another ride is organised?

Also, I want to second GAGIRL's suggestion of a GA ride in the mountains, much cooler riding in the mountains under the trees.

Oh I love to ride in the mountains. Love it love it. We all go to Soperton alot. We leave on Fri and come home late Sunday. We take our big trailer withthe living quarters. There is a cabin and a bunk house there. So yes capming is availible. Now on Dakota's ride there is not. We would have to camp at either Waynes or Somewhere else. We usually camp at Waynes and then go over there.

If I don't have to show a horse this weekend then I will be meeting Huckabuck and gang at Fort Mountain. Also we are going to a AQHA ride on the 20th and 21st in the mountains. Unless of course Wayne calls and says to come get Apache.

Will take pictures. You, Courtney and Tony would love it. We're trying to talk Wayne into coming up one weekend too. It is gonna be a hot miserable summer and it always feels alot cooler up there.

I have been tring to get Wayne to go riding too. Maybe if you and I both workon him it will work. I got that new mare I have to break in good on the trails. She is great at sidepassing up to gates and letting you open them and backing away and then going through. It is just really hot here. The temp on my Jeep said 101 today.
