Took Gracie on this weekends ride

I am so stupid for not taking her sooner.
I have not ridden much in the past 2 years but with this girl I will be doing ALOT of riding.
My hip starts to hurt on our quarter horses but not on my Gracie. She is perfect!!
Did well in everything I asked of her.
Here are acouple of pics from the weekend.
It was a free ride (not organized) but it appears everyone with a horse and a 50 mile radius was down in our local park. Must have been over 100 trailers there.

This is our campsite...........

And just a portion of the trailers/campers that were there.

And one pic of the trails. They are all like this which winds around the woods and the river (Rush River) and only 17 miles from the house.

What a cool thing to have so many horse people around, and to have those beautiful trails too! Great pics.

We aquired Gracie last summer and put her in the pasture......... (stupid)
Decided that I would try her since I hurt so much riding the quarter horses.
I fell in love after the first 15 minutes in the woods We got her from a friend of ours that needed to "unload" her, so we bought her from him. He was in financial trouble.
We rode for about a grand total of 5 hours, just Saturday only. We would go out ride for afew hours and come back to camp. Snack, have a beer or two and go out again.
Don't know how many miles that is..... probably not much, a max of maybe 5-6???
The wierd part is that Ken asked me to get on Mr. Hothead - (Jack) which I did. It felt like I was riding a pencil

I was just wondering if you got her from anyone from our past.

Now you're ready to ride Big Nick!!!

Crossed quarter/percheron and what a smooth uneventful ride she is. Just what I need for my aching aging years coming up.
