Trail riding on the Suwannee in FL. Lots of pics.

Me and my rib, my_gypsygirl, went to the park I work out and went on a guided trail ride so we could check out the trails.
We rode the parks horses and had a blast.

Shelby rode Lightning, just a year being gelded palomino that was awesome and I rode Cricket, a Spotted Saddle Horse.
Jared the barn manager rode a 19 year Appy mare.

This is the Alpaca Farm near the Park.

Some of the cabins.

Two of the park's horses.

The barn in horse camp.

Getting started before our ride.

And the ride.

The Suwannee River.

And I couldnt forget to take a pic of the peacok hen and her chicks.
The yellow one will turn white.

We hung around for a few and chit chatted and had a great morning.
It is really beautiful and was cool.
On our way back, campers in horse camp where getting ready to go out on their rides on their own horses.

The park was one that was chosen last eyar for America by Horseback and pics can be seen on their website.

Hopefully the FL. HT trail ride will happen, if not there are a few of us here are going to go and have a day at the park.

I forgot to post the bat house.
They have this large one and a few smaller ones all over the park.
They are for bug control.
We had a few horse flies, no other bugs while we riding.

Do they offer guided rides on their horses? I have a husband that I'm trying to get back into horses again (he's coming around and showing real interest). A nice relaxing trail ride would be just the thing...

Oops! Just realized you said earlier it was a guided trail ride. Sorry! Looks like a wonderful ride. Hmmm...

That looks beautiful. When/where is the FL HT trail ride planned for? I would love to meet up with everyone. We try to camp with the hoses 1x per month, but have not been in a while (too busy).
