Honestly neither of them are good quility saddles. I would look for a nice name brand used saddle.

I have to agree with Thunder...is is not worthit to put a low quality saddle on your horse.

If you are looking for a trail saddle, look at Bighorn saddles. They make nice synthetic saddles that are well put together. Or look used. I have found some NICE Billy Cook pleasure saddles for $350-400 on Tacktrader.com.

Good luck

Neither. They are crappy saddles that will break down quickly and hurt your horse. I hate that these stupid companies are making such garbage and selling them to unsuspecting people.

The best thing to do is find a good quality used saddle. CB is right about Bighorns. Comfy, good looking saddles for a great price. Wintec and Abetta are the same. They are synthetic, so they don't require as much upkeep. I can look some up for you if you'd like.

I have the leather version of the second one and I LOVE it! The best saddle I've ever ridden.

I urge you to look at used Circle Y as well as Billy Cook and Hereford. For example: http://www.tacktrader.com/show_item.php?tack_id=236407 or http://www.tacktrader.com/show_item.php?tack_id=231592 or http://www.tacktrader.com/show_item.php?tack_id=227573 They will run a little more, but they will be worth every penny. Good luck!

Both are junk but do you even know which size of tree will fit your horse?

Ditto, ditto and more ditto. A good used Circle Y, Hereford, Billy Cook, etc, would be preferable. Buy a cheap saddle and get what you pay for.

A friend bought a cheap no name synthetic and every time she used it, her horse bucked. Turned out the thing pinched. And another bought a cheap leather saddle. The thing stinks to high heaven, whatever chemicals that they used to tan the leather or dye it just reek.

Search local craigslist or garage sales or whatever.

Thanks everyone. I decided to go and dust off my dad old good 16 inch saddle. it is plane and has some scuff marks, but it is a good saddle. I rode in it for several years growing up. Going wait on a new saddle until my girls start to show, then going to look for a nice show/trail (used) saddle. One of the good ones.
